Founded in 2023, we develop Mojo, an AI assistant teacher that helps educators differentiate instruction for diverse student needs. This includes multilingual learners, students with IEPs, advanced students, and struggling readers.

Mojo gives targeted, Socratic, one-on-one, and small group support in over 50 languages, for both core instruction and intervention. The platform turns texts and assignments from existing curricula into interactive, differentiated activities for students, generating real-time data for teachers.

Mojo embeds AI-powered Tier 2 support directly into Tier 1 instruction, boosting student engagement and providing targeted feedback. It also supports social learning and encourages more inclusive discussions among students and teachers. We serve schools and districts nationwide, integrating with curricula like Amplify ELA, EL Education, Fishtank ELA, HMH Into Literature, myPerspectives, Wit & Wisdom, and StudySync.

Our data shows Mojo has boosted achievement by 5-10 percentage points on state tests and helped close achievement gaps. We also report that 96% of teachers find Mojo makes their jobs easier, and 97% of students say Mojo helped them learn or improve. Teachers rate Mojo 5.0 for helpfulness with grade-level texts and 4.7 for helpfulness with below-grade-level students.

Our mission is to support teachers, allowing them to focus on their primary roles. We believe teachers are irreplaceable but often struggle to meet every student’s unique needs.

Our founders, who were previously teachers and middle school principals, developed Mojo to help educators provide engaging and inclusive instruction. We aim to level the playing field so all students, regardless of background or ability, can succeed.

We are a team of 11-50 employees. We emphasize a collaborative work environment, living by the motto, “Wherever we are, we work together.”

Our culture is shaped by our founders’ backgrounds as former teachers and school principals, who aimed to address challenges educators face when supporting diverse learners. We offer remote work opportunities and are looking for individuals to join our team.
