We are a public medical devices company (NASDAQ: CVRX) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 2001. We develop proprietary implantable technology to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Our primary product, Barostim, is a neuromodulation device that treats heart failure. Barostim delivers gentle electrical pulses to carotid baroreceptors on the carotid artery. These pulses increase signals to the brain, which helps reduce the body’s stress response and improve heart failure symptoms. Clinical data shows that 94% of Barostim patients had significant improvement in symptoms (measured by quality of life, exercise capacity, or heart failure symptoms). Patients also reported increased activity levels and improved quality of life, with a 97% freedom from complications. The implant procedure usually takes about an hour, and most patients go home the same day.
