Daivergent

Founded in 2017, we provide personalized, online job training and life coaching for teens and adults with disabilities. Our programs help individuals succeed at work and in life by focusing on three main areas: finding and keeping a job, becoming a strong communicator, and gaining more independence.

For employment, we help participants explore careers, learn new skills, search for jobs, practice interviews, and negotiate offers. Communication training covers professionalism, teamwork, improving relationships at home, strengthening romantic partnerships, and making new friends. To help participants become more independent, our programs address time management, daily routines, understanding finances, stress management, and improving daily care. All coaching is delivered live and online, allowing participants to connect from various locations.

We also have experience in areas like Data Entry, Data Processing, Training Set Generation, E-Commerce, and Artificial Intelligence, which might be skills we train in or past projects we’ve worked on. We were founded in 2017 as a Public Benefit Corporation. Our mission is built on the belief that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves a life of purpose and dignity—at home, at work, and with friends. We prepare neurodivergent job-seekers and transition-aged adults with disabilities for the modern workforce.

The inspiration for our company came from co-founder Byran Dai’s experience with his younger brother’s transition into adulthood. We support individuals with disabilities and cognitive differences, believing these should not hinder personal growth or opportunities. We also aim to challenge biases and change how society perceives communities that are often overlooked yet highly capable.

We have a team of 11-50 employees. Our team is neurodiverse, with members who are neurodivergent self-advocates, or siblings, cousins, parents, and loved ones of people with disabilities. This helps us understand the issues facing the broader disability community and why change is needed.

Our coaches have specialized experience supporting neurodivergent teens and adults and people with disabilities. We provide a supportive environment where participants are encouraged to make friends, practice new skills, and feel supported. Our employees thrive in autonomous, mission-driven roles, like the NY Case Manager position, which involves coordinating services, coaching, and working with clients and external partners, often through a mix of in-person and remote work.
