Overview
Dane Street is seeking experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgeons licensed in New York and certified in New York Workers’ Compensation to join our growing team of independent physician reviewers. In this role, you will apply your spine surgery expertise to conduct comprehensive medical record reviews and provide objective, evidence-based clinical opinions.
This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to customize your schedule while working as a 1099 independent contractor.
Position Description
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical records, preparing clear clinical summaries, engaging in peer-to-peer communications when necessary, and responding to client-specific questions related to spinal conditions, surgical and non-surgical management, causation, impairment, and disability in the context of workers’ compensation cases.

Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training or significant experience in Spine Surgery preferred
- Current, unrestricted New York medical license
- New York Workers’ Compensation Board Certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
- Ability to complete required orientation and training sessions
- Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements
