Position: Cybersecurity Engineer (CrowdStrike)
Datacom Location: 1 position, open to Sydney and Brisbane in AU and Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in NZ ONLY.
Security Requirements: Citizens of either AU or NZ only. Residents cannot proceed due to security requirements of client.
Level Requirements: We are open to people of an Associate and Intermediate level. This is not an entry-level position but we will consider people with a good IT background and cybersecurity qualifications and you will be trained up but we will also consider established cybersecurity engineers with salary dependent on level.
Full Time, Permanent Position.

About the Role
Our Cyber Defence Operations Centre (CDOC) delivers a range of mature and robust Cybersecurity Managed Services to customers throughout New Zealand and Australia. Our CDOC Platforms and Solutions team is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer focused on delivering and supporting our CrowdStrike Security Solutions; you will have the opportunity to work across other vendors products and tools, however, CrowdStrike is the initial focus for this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your CrowdStrike cybersecurity expertise with automation skills to help evolve our services, in line with the ever-changing threat landscape. Depending on your location, your direct teammates may be remote to you, however, we collaborate daily across Microsoft Teams and encourage working from our Datacom offices to engage and collaborate with your wider CDOC colleagues but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! . This not a Cybersecurity Analyst role, however, we encourage people with a Cybersecurity Analyst background to apply and as per the above, we are interested in looking at quality applicants at both an Associate and Intermediate Cybersecurity Engineer level.

What You’ll Do
In this role you will be focused on:
- Supporting cybersecurity services for our customers, using the CrowdStrike Security suite.
- Assisting with onboarding tasks, however, the focus of this role is Operational Support and contributing to optimising the services we provide.
- Proactively learning new technologies and contributing to evolving services to meet changes in threats, technologies, and market requirements.
- Identifying and continually improving CDOC internal systems, including our SOAR and Threat Intelligence platforms.
- Actively creating, managing, and improving automations, integrations, playbooks, and other tools/features to ensure efficient service delivery.
What You’ll Bring
Required experience:
Proven experience using the CrowdStrike Security toolset in an operations team.
At least one relevant cybersecurity engineering qualification, such as CrowdStrike CCCS, CCIS and CCFA.
Intermediate or higher scripting capability.
Ability to quickly pick up new technology and work within our SOAR and threat intelligence platforms
Broader experience with adjacent cybersecurity or cloud services technologies, ie Microsoft, Splunk, Zscaler, Palo Alto.
Application of cybersecurity concepts, preferably in a managed services or SOC environment.
A strong drive for continual learning and growth.
