About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up in the Data and Analytics Team / Operations. In the role, the successful candidate will:
- The role holder will be responsible for building and delivering Davy’s ESG data and reporting capability. The role focuses on translating ESG regulatory requirements into practical, scalable data solutions, with a critical and immediate priority being the design and build of the firm’s Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions reporting capability in line with GHG Protocol and PCAF standards.
- The ESG Data & Reporting Lead will play a key role in developing and driving the ESG roadmap for data and analytics, ensuring regulatory deadlines, data maturity objectives, and business priorities are translated into a clear and structured delivery plan. The role will partner with senior stakeholders across Davy, including Sustainability, Operations, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Finance, Risk, and HR.
- The role requires ESG domain knowledge and data governance experience, with the ability to engage effectively with specialist data teams and senior stakeholders across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the build out of Scope 3 reporting capabilities, including methodology, data sourcing, and measurement
Drive execution of key components of the ESG Data and Analytics roadmap, ensuring appropriate sequencing of regulatory deadlines, data maturity milestones and business priorities, and communicating progress to stakeholders
Develop scalable ESG reporting solutions and data pipelines in collaboration with data engineers and analysts, utilising the Snowflake enterprise data platform and leveraging third-party ESG data providers
Define ESG data quality standards, lineage, and controls to ensure full traceability from source to published disclosure, supporting internal and regulatory requirements, and addressing inherent data quality challenges
Establish and maintain effective ways of working within Data & Analytics and partner with stakeholders across Davy including Sustainability, Finance, Investment Management, HR and the wider Bank of Ireland Group
Monitor the EU and Irish ESG regulatory landscape (SFDR, CSRD, EBA ESG Pillar 3), and support improved understanding and effective use of ESG data across business functions through clear communication and documentation
About you:
5–7 years’ experience in ESG data, reporting, or sustainability within financial services or asset management, with a proven track record
Proven expertise in the measurement of financed emissions, and strong command of key ESG protocols and frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SFDR, CSRD, ISSB)
Experience contributing to or delivering ESG or data reporting roadmaps, including milestone management and stakeholder communication
Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science, Finance, Data Science, Economics, Management Science) or equivalent industry experience or professional ESG certification
Strong data literacy, including practical understanding of data quality, lineage, and governance, with experience working within or alongside Data & Analytics functions
Experience of cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks), SQL/Python, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is beneficial
Experience with ESG data providers, with an understanding of the quality and coverage limitations inherent in third-party ESG datasets, is desirable
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly across both technical teams and senior stakeholders, including experience preparing ESG reporting outputs
Strong project management, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver in a fast-evolving environment and maintain a strong focus on data integrity and professional standards
