The Role
We’re looking for a Lead Product Marketing Manager to drive the success of our product initiatives across global markets. This role blends strategic thinking with executional excellence — leading high-impact launches, influencing product direction, and ensuring commercial readiness.
You will work cross-functionally with Product, CS, Sales, and Marketing to identify customer opportunities, shape product messaging and positioning, and deliver GTM strategies that fuel adoption and growth. As a senior IC, you’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy and serve as a go-to strategic partner across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for add on products across Australia, UK, and US — including positioning, messaging, expansion strategy, sales enablement, and customer comms.
- Partner closely with Product to shape roadmap direction based on market insight, customer feedback, and business opportunity.
- Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences — from exec buyers to frontline users.
- Identify and validate new product opportunities through customer interviews, research, and market analysis; build business cases to support prioritization.
- Enable our customer-facing teams with effective sales tools, narratives, and objection-handling assets to drive adoption and conversion.
- Own competitive intelligence and market insight for your product areas — identifying where Deputy wins, how we’re differentiated, and what we need to improve.
- Act as the voice of the customer — sharing insights and feedback to help guide product decisions, marketing strategy, and broader company priorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, lifecycle, content, sales, and success to align messaging and ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience.
- Help uplevel PMM processes and best practices.
Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in product marketing or similar strategic GTM roles, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Experience leading go-to-market for high-impact product launches across multiple markets.
- Demonstrated ability to turn customer insight into messaging, content, and campaigns that drive adoption and impact.
- Strong business acumen and comfort working with data — including opportunity sizing, funnel metrics, and customer research.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills — able to craft compelling positioning and clearly articulate value to internal and external audiences.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment in a matrixed organization.
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and project management skills; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience in HR, payroll, or workforce management tech is a plus, but not required.
