About the Tech Team

Technology powers everything we do at Dialectica โ€“ from communicating with clients and finding the most relevant expert profiles in just a few minutes to indexing and categorizing thousands of pieces of information every day. To do so, we have built our own proprietary web application that automates and optimizes the delivery of our market leading services.

To date, the team consists of 90+ people across Software Engineering, Product & Design, TechOps, and is expected to grow further in 2026. Being part of Dialecticaโ€™s Technology Team you will have the opportunity to develop innovative tech products that meet the needs of our internal and external clients. Through cross-functional collaboration, iterative development, and data-driven decision-making, the team ensures Dialectica stays ahead of market trends and delivers measurable business value.

What you will do

As a Front End Software Engineer in Dialectica you will:

  • Write well structured, performant and secure code
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests for all your features.
  • Be involved in the overall application lifecycle
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs in front-end code, find solutions to minimize customer impact
  • Review code and have your own code reviewed by fellow engineers
  • Be actively involved in all team ceremonies, weekly sprints and retrospectives
  • Work closely with product managers and other disciplines, such as the back end developers (our back end is a collection of services developed in Ruby) and UX designers
  • Passionate about authoring UI components that improve User Experience
  • Actively participate in the Front-End Chapter, contributing to technical discussions and promote best practises

What we are looking for

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • 3+ years experience in building Web Applications that are robust, maintainable and scalable
  • Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks (preferably React)
  • A broad knowledge of the web platform as a whole (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, HTTP/S, web performance, web security)
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and the software development life cycle
  • Good knowledge of unit testing
  • Knowledge of Git

For the Senior role, candidates should also demonstrate:

  • 5+ years experience, showing strong ownership and delivering complex features
  • Ability to mentor fellow engineers
  • Experience in application architecture including advanced state management and performance optimization techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of unit testing and integration testing
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Commitment to engineering excellence and consistency, driving initiatives to establish high front-end standards

It’s great, but not required if you have:

  • Experience with Typescript, GraphQL, Apollo Client & Apollo Server, NextJS, NodeJS, Redux, Material UI, React Router, Redux
  • Familiarity with Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, Storybook
  • Agile development experience (SCRUM)
  • Chrome API (Chrome extension authoring)
  • Exposure on Vite, Webpack or any other module bundlers
  • Exposure on Module Federation or any other micro-frontend architecture
