About Sprout Labs
We provide expert-led tutoring and science-based programs for children aged 4 to 11. Our solution combines guidance from a literacy expert, an assessment to identify strengths and weaknesses, and personalized instruction using gaming technology, proprietary data, and virtual tutoring. Our program is interactive, engaging, and designed for home use.
We build foundational reading skills, helping children, including those with dyslexia. Our programs are based on the Orton-Gillingham Method and include the EarlyBird assessment. The EarlyBird assessment, developed and tested at Boston Children’s Hospital, screens for early literacy and dyslexia and has been used in schools. The Sprout Program teaches reading fundamentals like oral comprehension, vocabulary, and phonological awareness. With consistent use, many children improve their foundational reading skills by 20 to 40 percentile points.
Our program includes an On Track Reading Assessment. This is an interactive game where children complete tasks. It shows a child’s reading strengths and weaknesses relative to their grade level. Our science-based digital tutoring involves 20 minutes of daily gameplay that provides structured instruction. We also offer ongoing progress and support: unlimited access to a reading expert who monitors progress, weekly reports, and a parent resource library.
Founded in 2020, we operate in the primary and secondary education industries. Our specialties include school readiness, early literacy, dyslexia intervention, phonological awareness, education technology (Edtech), interactive learning, game-based learning, and reading.
