Job Description
Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We aim to enable teachers to personalise learning at scale with a range of powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential.
As an EPeep, you’ll work on projects that have a real impact on students’ lives and have the freedom, support and resources you need to develop your skills and grow your career.
We’re looking for a Video Content Specialist to bring Education Perfect’s story to life through compelling, video-first content. You’ll own the full creative journey—from concept and storyboard through to filming and final edit—crafting narratives that humanise our brand and resonate with a B2B education audience. If you’re a proactive creator with 3–4 years’ experience who loves turning ideas into high-impact video, this role is for you. Preferred candidate is Dunedin based but we are open to candidates across NZ.
What you will do
- Develop and execute a short-form video roadmap that balances brand storytelling with measurable audience value and lead-gen objectives.
- Strategically architect multi-part video series that align with the B2B buyer journey and Education Perfect’s product roadmap.
- Own the full creative lifecycle—from conceptual storyboarding and scriptwriting to high-end shooting and editing—ensuring all assets are “social-first” yet brand-aligned.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to translate complex academic or technical concepts into humanized, digestible, and engaging video narratives.
- Monitor content performance metrics (retention rates, CTR, engagement) to identify winning formats and ruthlessly pivot away from what isn’t working.
- Monitor digital shifts and platform updates with a critical eye, adopting trends only when they can be authentically adapted to the B2B Education sector.
- Serve as the creative lead for video within the marketing team, partnering with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Field teams to amplify global campaigns.
About you
- 3-4 years in a content creation role, ideally within a B2B, EdTech, or high-growth SaaS environment.
- A deep understanding of how content functions at different stages of the marketing funnel (Awareness vs. Consideration vs. Conversion).
- Proven ability to tailor tone and messaging for nuanced industry verticals (e.g., speaking to a School Principal vs. an IT Director).
- 1-2 years of experience leveraging AI (e.g., Midjourney, Descript, HeyGen, or ChatGPT) to accelerate workflows and enhance creative output.
- Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) and mobile-first editing tools (CapCut, etc.).
- Ability to turn “dry” product features into compelling “problem/solution” narratives that resonate with educator pain points.
- Comfortable interviewing internal stakeholders and “directing” non-actors to get the best performance on camera.
Equitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP. We understand that not all applicants may possess all the following attributes so if you think you have what it takes, but are not sure you check every box, we would love to still hear from you!
