AI SOLUTIONS ENGINEER (FORWARD DEPLOYED)

LOCATION: REMOTE, POLAND(with quarterly offiсe visits in Poznań and flexibility for occasional client visit)

ENGAGEMENT: 12-20 hours/week B2B

(with the possibility to transition to 40 hours/week B2B)

Your Mission: Take AI solutions from prototype to production. You will work directly with enterprise clients to design, build, and deploy AI-powered systems that solve real business challenges - navigating the technical complexity of integrations, data, security, and scaling.

This is a hands-on engineering role - you will write code, build integrations, debug production issues, navigate enterprise constraints, and work directly with client technical teams to deliver solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and ready for real-world use.

Scope of services:

Client Discovery & Solution Design

• Lead technical discovery sessions with business and IT stakeholders

• Translate complex and ambiguous client challenges into clear technical solutions, architectures, and delivery plans

• Design scalable architectures for AI-powered applications, integrations, and data-intensive systems

• Guide clients through technical possibilities, limitations, risks, and trade-offs when making engineering decisions

• Work directly with client teams to define practical solutions that can be delivered, adopted, and maintained in production

AI Engineering & Integrations

• Build production-grade AI applications using LLM APIs, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows

• Develop integrations between AI solutions and enterprise environments, including APIs, legacy systems, databases, and internal platforms

• Implement solutions using modern AI technologies such as OpenAI API, LangChain, LangGraph, and related tooling

• Design reliable data flows, retrieval systems, and approaches for monitoring and evaluating AI solution quality

• Create reusable AI implementation patterns, templates, and best practices that strengthen Espeo’s internal Skills Library

Production Delivery & Deployment

• Own the full delivery lifecycle — from initial proof of concept through production deployment and stabilization

• Write production-quality code, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve system reliability in real-world environments

• Handle enterprise deployment challenges including authentication, security reviews, compliance requirements, data residency, and access management

• Work with cloud platforms and infrastructure to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable

• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and account teams to manage scope, technical risks, priorities, and client communication

Knowledge Sharing & Ownership

• Ensure client technical teams are confident and self-sufficient after project completion

• Document technical solutions, deployment processes, integration patterns, and lessons learned

• Share knowledge internally through documentation, workshops, and engineering practices

• Take full ownership of client challenges — staying involved until solutions are stable, adopted, and reliably operating in production

Here’s a set of skills we require:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven experience delivering production systems

• 2+ years of experience working in customer-facing engineering, consulting, solutions engineering, or similar roles

• Strong software engineering skills with the ability to independently design, build, and deliver complete solutions

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD workflows

• Experience integrating external APIs and enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, identity providers, and data platforms

• Practical experience building AI-powered applications using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies)

• Understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI-powered workflows

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong ownership mindset - you follow solutions through to production, not only prototypes

• English proficiency at C1 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience working as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager

• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and infrastructure such as LangChain, LangGraph, Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector

• Knowledge of AI evaluation methodologies and frameworks, including LLM-as-a-judge, RAGAS, or custom evaluation pipelines

• Experience delivering solutions in regulated industries such as fintech, banking, healthcare, or the public sector

• Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Azure Integration Services
