Evolv Technology

We founded Evolv Technology in 2013 to provide AI-powered screening and analytics solutions. Our products are designed to improve safety in venues, schools, hospitals, and public spaces.

Our core offering, the Evolv Safer Experience System™, is a connected IoT system that combines smart hardware, cloud-based analytics, and integrations. This system includes Evolv Express® and Evolv eXpedite™ for concealed weapons detection, and Evolv Insights® for dashboards, analytics, and automated reports. We also offer an Open API to integrate with existing security systems.

Since 2019, our systems have scanned over 3 billion people and detected over 400,000 weapons in 2023 alone. Our systems screen about 3 million people daily, with over 7,000 Express Units deployed at more than 1,000 customer sites.

We have received the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SAFETY Act Designation as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT). In 2024, we also won the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Products and Solutions (NPS) Award and Sport Business Journal’s (SBJ) awards for “Best In Fan Experience Technology” and “Best In Sports Technology.”

Our specialties include machine learning, sensors, physical security, artificial intelligence, people screening, weapons detection, threat detection, thermal imaging, security screening, security data analytics, and metal detection.
