You will serve as a key compliance partner to designated teams, promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards. The position requires a strong understanding of Canadian laws relating to competition, drug advertising, consumer protection, anti-spam, privacy, health, and their applications.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with relevant roles and technologies, including Google Suite, Adobe Suite, Notion, and Claude (or similar AI tools)

  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent English language written skills and keen attention to detail, including ability to create, edit, and proofread technical legal documents

  • Comfort with ambiguity, an ability to create clarity within grey areas, and an eagerness to problem solve and build a strong compliance program

Assets

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing, legal or compliance role

  • 1+ years of experience with Canadian advertising laws in a highly regulated environment

  • French language proficiency

  • Education in a legal or policy-related field

  • Completion of IAPP’s CIPP/C or equivalent with a focus on privacy and AI

  • Experience communicating or collaborating with Canadian regulatory bodies (e.g. Ad Standards Canada, Health Canada, Office of the Privacy Commissioner)

Benefits

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Maternity/paternity policy

  • 4 weeks’ vacation (3 weeks anytime + 1 week during the holidays)

  • Competitive compensation

  • Stock option grant

  • Remote first, work from anywhere in Canada

  • Incredible culture powered by highly collaborative and high-performing teams

  • Large impact at an early-stage technology company
