Filevine is building the seamless intersection between legal and business by creating a world- class platform to help professionals scale.
Role Summary
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers building and evolving Filevine’s AI Platform. Our platform serves more than 5,000 law firms and processes over 10 million documents daily - helping legal professionals work faster and smarter.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching people while staying technically engaged. You will own the delivery of scalable software, hire engineers, and grow the people around you. You will partner closely with Product and other engineering leaders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Grow & coach a high-performing team – Hire, mentor, and develop engineers so they deliver their best work and advance their careers.
- Drive outcomes – Partner with Product to clarify goals, define success metrics, and unblock your team so they ship meaningful value to customers.
- Own sustainable delivery – Keep projects on track through proactive planning and clear communication - no heroic last-minute sprints required.
- Shape how the team works – Gather feedback, refine processes, and champion engineering practices that raise the bar for quality and velocity.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years leading or managing engineers.
- Track record of building engaged, autonomous teams that deliver on ambitious goals.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Kubernetes) and distributed systems (e.g., Temporal). Experience building agentic systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a hybrid environment.
- Curiosity about AI/ML and enthusiasm for applying it to real-world problems.
Compensation starts at €8,000 per month, with the final offer determined by the candidate’s seniority and experience.
