FleishmanHillard’s International Affairs team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join us in supporting world-class clients navigating complex global challenges. THE ROLE
As a SeniorAccount Executive in International Affairs, you support client relationships, guide strategy and execution, and support new business. You will have a curiosity and interest in communications on international issues and U.S. policy and will support media outreach, advising clients, guiding proactive earned communications, and showing the impact of our work. This will include developing compellingcontent,directing media relations, crafting thought leadership, and contributing to integrated campaigns. We are a growing team, so in addition to client work, you will play an active role in developing our International Affairs offer and pitching new business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute media relations campaigns that advance or protect clients’ interests, including researching target journalists, crafting compelling pitches, coordinating interviews, shaping coverage,and managing ongoing media relationships.
Develop and edit written materials - media pitches, press releases, client correspondence, thought leadership pieces and reporting - with attention to nuance on complex business, finance and international issues
Build and maintain a growing network of media contacts in the business, finance, international affairs, and climate spaces ; including monthly in-person touch points with target NYC journalists
Support strategy development for media engagement programs, bringing curiosity and fresh perspectives
Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned client accounts, anticipating needs and demonstrating reliability and attention to detail
Manage project timelines and deliverable deadlines
Contribute to issues management and risk assessment discussions
Support new business opportunities, including helping to scope client needs and contribute ideas to RFP responses
Participate actively in the team’s collaborative culture, sharing insights, asking questions, and supporting colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of media trends and issues and an understanding of the media environment.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work with and counsel clients.
Excellent writing and editing abilities.
Analytical thinking and the ability to understand complex concepts quickly.
Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and make recommendations.

- The anticipated salary range for a Senior Account Executive is $58,000.00 - $82,000.00.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
