About Float.com
Founded in 2011 by Glenn Rogers and Lars Gelfan, we provide resource management, planning, and scheduling software. We serve over 4,500 professional services and in-house creative teams globally, including clients like M&C Saatchi, Instrument, Mother, Ogilvy, Google Brand Studio Creative, Airbnb, Google, Atlassian, Metalab, and Wieden+Kennedy.
Our software offers real-time visibility into team capacity, skills, workload, and rates, helping teams manage resources more profitably. It allows for building centralized resourcing plans, matching work with skills and availability, and scoping projects with budget and margin tracking. We also provide financial insights to improve utilization and profitability. Float integrates with various people, project, and financial systems.
Since March 2024, we have been B Corp certified, and we are GDPR & SOC2 compliant.
Mission & Values
We are a values-led company guided by five core principles: ‘Say the thing,’ ‘Move it forward,’ ‘Respect each others’ time,’ ‘Seek growth,’ and ‘One team.’
As a B Corp certified company since March 2024, we are committed to being a profitable business that also makes a positive impact. This includes promoting sustainable remote work and monitoring our environmental footprint.
Team & Culture
We are a fully remote, async-first team spanning 22 countries, with 51-200 employees. We hire and pay based on talent, not location, supporting flexible work arrangements. Our team is made up of highly skilled individuals, and we ensure fairness in our perks and benefits.
Our culture values autonomy, resourcefulness, and clear communication. When hiring, we look for candidates with strong capabilities (skills, experience, problem-solving), who have the capacity to thrive in an async and autonomous setting, and whose values align with ours.
Benefits & Perks
We offer competitive, location-agnostic pay, benchmarked to 95% of the median San Francisco salary. Salaries are reviewed annually, upholding our ‘same work, same pay’ philosophy.
Our async work hours provide flexibility across all 22 countries, with no fixed ‘core hours.’ We offer 4 weeks of paid time off, regional holidays, 4 extra ‘just because’ days, and a ‘No FOMO week’ company-wide closure at year-end.
We provide a stipend for health insurance. Our family leave policy includes 16 weeks for all parents, plus 15 days for personal and compassionate leave.
For remote work, we offer a $1,500 setup stipend and $500/month for co-working spaces. We also host an annual global team meetup, covering flights and accommodation.
We support continuous learning and development with $500/year and two paid days allocated for this purpose, along with clear frameworks for long-term career growth.
