About Formlabs
We build tools that enable digital fabrication. Formlabs was founded in 2011 by three MIT graduate students who created the first affordable, industrial-quality desktop 3D printer. We are headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts, with 10 global offices in countries like Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, and Hungary. We are a leading supplier of professional stereolithography (SLA) and selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers worldwide.
We offer the Form Series SLA printers, Fuse Series SLS printers, and post-processing solutions like Form Wash and Form Cure. We also provide over 45 proprietary materials, including the Tough Resin family (Tough 1000, Tough 1500, Tough 2000), Rigid, General Purpose, Flame Retardant, Silicone, Elastic, Biocompatible, Ceramic, Castable, Nylon, and TPU. An Open Material Mode is also available.
Our customers include engineers, designers, manufacturers, healthcare providers, and decision-makers, from large companies in medical research, footwear design, automotive, and aerospace, to entrepreneurs and small businesses. They use our printers for rapid prototyping, tooling, end-use part production, manufacturing aids, and models.
We have sold over 130,000 printers, which have produced more than 300,000,000 parts. Formlabs is valued at $2 billion.
