We need an English-fluent Sr Backend Developer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who’s constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for device management software
- Work with telecom customers, including Nokia, Telefonica, and Claro, to troubleshoot and resolve software issues
- Develop and optimize database solutions across MongoDB and MySQL
- Implement caching strategies using Redis
- Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with a distributed team across Latin America and the US
- Support technical troubleshooting, including reading back captures and diagnosing network issues
- Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks using Atlassian tools
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Java (primary language) and Elasticsearch
- Proficient in Frameworks: Spring Boot, JDBC, Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, Caching: Redis
- Experience working with Servers: Jetty, Apache
- Deployment: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- IDE: Experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse
- Version control: Experience with GIT
- Build tools: Experience with Maven, JDK
- Project management: Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
It’s a Plus:
- Experience with AWS
- Background in telecom software (Nokia, Huawei, Ciena, or similar)
- Familiarity with broadband forum specifications
- Experience working with companies like Nokia, Huawei, or Telefonica
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $3,800 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
