Job Description
The IaaS Product team (Infrastructure as a Service) delivers secure, highly available infrastructure including Windows, Unix, VMware, Cloud IaaS and PaaS, Server and Storage. In this role, you’ll be providing excellent customer service while working in a team that builds tools and platforms for delivering Windows Servers services onsite and soon in the cloud.
The position’s primary focus is leading a team of IT professionals to deliver great customer service, and build tools and platforms for the delivery of Windows Servers services both onsite and shortly in the Azure cloud. You will lead your team to work collaboratively on business as usual activities, interesting project work and continuous service improvement.
In this position you will:
- Provide day to day leadership of the team for a skilled team of Windows Platform Engineers
- Lead and champion Agile ways of working and Infrastructure as Code capability
- Enjoy engaging with your peers both within your team and across Digital Foundations to lead, consult and deliver high quality technical solutions to business problems
- Ensure stable reliable systems by maintaining security, patching and availability
- Be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Enjoy solving problems and learning something new every day within a supportive team environment.
- Appreciate flexible work-from-home options, with a 60% onsite / 40% remote work split.
About you
To be successful in this role, experienced ,versatile, motivated IT professional with relevant qualifications and a background in leading the support and delivery of Windows Servers and Active Directory (AD) services. You will have a strong desire to develop your team members and improve service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience leading support of an enterprise Microsoft Windows environment
- Demonstrated experience using SCCM, SCOM, AD and Group Policy
- Programming and scripting skills applied to automation and solution development, including PowerShell
- Experience with cloud deployments and support (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment well regarded
- Software Development and /or DevOps skills desirable
- Availability to participate on the Windows on-call roster (Rostering once every 4-5 weeks) essential
- Azure certifications well regarded

What we can offer
This is a full-time position continuing position, primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW level 9 base salary range $132,655 - $137,398 + 17% superannuation. Total remuneration package range $155,206 - $160,756.
