About the Role
As an Industrial Engineer for our Concept Team within Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, you will play a key role in planning manufacturing process solutions and transferring them into our production system for the automated manufacturing of building modules (at our factory site in Germany) as part of our modular building system product development.
Working in an interdisciplinary environment (simultaneous engineering approach), you contribute to product solutions and help design production concepts. You collaborate closely with our product developers (modular construction experts, wall and ceiling elements), machine design engineers, a digital production control team, and production.
In this position, you are responsible for structured process documentation and for revising or extending it in the event of changes or new developments.
Your responsibilities also include:
- Evaluation of product designs (timber panel elements, wall and ceiling elements) with regard to manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), taking production capabilities into account
- Translation of product designs into process documentation, consisting of requirements, content specifications, and logical descriptions for digital implementation
- Preparation of implementation decisions
- Logical process descriptions of production solutions for takt-based flow production, considering the value stream, corresponding cycle times, and production data
Your Profile
- Education as an Industrial Engineer with a focus on timber construction technology – ideally with experience in construction, timber construction, wood technology, or timber panel construction
- Professional experience in designing and optimizing industrial production systems – ideally takt-based flow production applying lean principles
- Logical approach to defining work systems and workflows
- Analytical, structured, and well-documented working style with an awareness of deadlines
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in international and multidisciplinary teams
- Very good command of both English and German

Austrian salary range, based on 14 months
€65.000—€75.000 EUR
