Enterprise Technology (ET) is at the heart of this evolution, delivering vital services to our extensive network of creative agencies. We’re seeking an ambitious Senior Financial Analyst to join our HQ Finance team and play a key role in performing controls aligned with our controls framework, take ownership of our exceptional cost reporting, contribute to improved Balance Sheet reporting, and lead on a number of areas of our consolidated Financial reporting including our quarterly ESG packages.

What you’ll be doing:
SOX Controls framework
- As a key member of the controllership team, take ownership of a variety of our SOX controls, ensuring timely gathering of evidence and follow through actions, contribute to more robust controls and help improve the process of existing controls.
Exceptionals cost tracking
- Prepare the monthly ADJ20 work file, analysing YTD costs for all exceptional spend and work with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to ensure transformational project spend is aligned with expectations / documentation.
- Take ownership of the quarterly Exceptionals workpaper to be submitted to Group Finance, detailing movements across the WPP ET landscape by project and reconciling to group-approved accounting papers.
Consolidated reporting
- Have full accountability for our quarterly ESG reporting into our Financial Consolidation software ‘BFC’, working with global HR / Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting for over 50 entities worldwide.
- Owning a variety of other monthly, quarterly and yearly schedules during key reporting cycles.
Key Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Contribute to the high-profile Balance Sheet Remediation project across the WPP ET landscape, working with senior management to take ownership of the full balance sheet and corresponding reconciliations for a number of countries across the Americas region.
- Contribute to new working files, improved reconciliation templates and more robust reporting to improve reporting in your areas.
Ad-hoc projects
- Audit support for statutory reporting and 20-F filings;
- Analytical report for Group Reporting queries;
- Supporting the wider Finance function in controllership-focused high visibility projects
- Work closely with the Senior Manager, Controllership on a variety of ad-hoc projects as required, to include:
What you’ll need:
- Qualified Accountant with proven experience in audit, or a large international organization.
- A dynamic, ambitious individual who is driven by working in a changeable environment and is enthused by being given a remit to change processes for the better.
- Someone who is comfortable interacting with stakeholders across the business including FBP’s, HR & HQ Finance.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
