We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in India. This represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is knowledgeable in accounting, and proficient in building interpersonal relationships, both in and outside of the Accounting department.
Our Corporate Accounting team owns all P&L and Balance Sheet accounting (other than that related to revenue, accounts receivable, international entities and deferred revenue). In addition to the management of monthly close and consolidation processes, the Corporate Accounting team covers a variety of challenging technical accounting topics. The team has high visibility within the overall accounting organization and within the company.
You will report to our Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting located in our Bangalore office.
You Will:
- Support the monthly close and consolidation process, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Work cross-functionally with other accounting and tax teams, as well as relevant business owners
- Provide analysis of variances between financial results month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter
- Prepare corporate accounting schedules required as support for quarterly and annual financial statements, and US tax provision
- Work with our auditors as a representative of the corporate accounting team
- Perform all tasks following highest professional standards including SOX
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required
- 5+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in accounting and/or, finance positions
- CA license strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, SOX, financial statements, and ability to understand technical accounting concepts and topics
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Desire to work in fast-paced, high-growth company
- Highly detail-oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to approach tasks hands-on and balance competing priorities across the Corporate Accounting team
- Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis
- Fluency in English is required
