We develop technology for productive and sustainable agriculture. Our system for pasture-based farms allows farmers to remotely shift herds, set virtual fences, and monitor cow health and behavior.
The Halter system includes solar-powered collars for cows, communication towers (which connect collars and the app without cell coverage), and a mobile application. With our technology, farmers can manage herds and set break fences remotely, plan grazing precisely with real-time data on pasture growth and quality, and automatically monitor for heat and health issues with 24⁄7 animal location tracking and alerts.
We work with dairy and beef farmers in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. Halter was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand.
