Job Description
The Accountant 2, Fund Accounting will be responsible for maintaining accurate fund accounting records and delivering high-quality financial reporting for assigned client portfolios. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of fund accounting standards, and commitment to operational excellence.
What you will do:
- Prepare and deliver financial statements, NAV reports, and investor communications in accordance with prescribed guidelines and relevant accounting standards
- Process and maintain fund books and records, including daily bookkeeping, capital calls, distributions, and periodic financial reporting with accuracy and timeliness
- Execute quality control procedures and risk management protocols, including self-reviews and identification of operational risks to ensure compliance with established standards
- Document and follow standard operating procedures, track work progress through timesheet completion, and maintain knowledge of client-specific requirements and industry practices
- Participate in training programs, process improvement initiatives, and perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs and professional development
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or ACCA Level 1 or ACA Professional Experience: Preferrably with at least 2 yrs of experience, with a minimum of 1 yr in fund accounting
