Job Description
As an Assistant Manager for Private Equity & Private Debt Accounting, you will lead a team in delivering accurate, timely, and high‑quality fund accounting services to our clients. You will take full ownership of deliverables, review complex financial outputs, and ensure exceptional service across NAV calculations, financial statements, capital activities, and investor reporting.
You’ll play a key role in onboarding new funds, supporting system conversions, and enhancing team performance through coaching, feedback, and process optimization. This role is ideal for a driven leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- You’ll review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of NAV reports, financial statements with disclosures, and other complex deliverables for private equity/private debt funds and corporate clients, following SSAE and internal procedures.
- You’ll manage end‑to‑end client deliverables by coordinating with cluster counterparts, validating data completeness, assigning workloads, monitoring deadlines, addressing review comments, handling queries within 24 hours, and resolving/escalating technical or transactional issues.
- You’ll guide, coach, and develop the team by providing technical and non‑technical feedback, supporting learning initiatives, reviewing outputs, ensuring quality standards, and acting as an alternate Manager when needed.
- You’ll oversee workflow and operational controls, including accurate timesheet monitoring, pre‑approving overtime, managing the workflow planner, optimizing processes, using accounting/reporting platforms, and drafting error/compliance reports with root-cause analysis.
- You’ll uphold risk management and professional standards by enforcing procedural compliance, reporting breaches or errors promptly, conducting research when needed, participating in interviews, and taking on additional responsibilities that support team and professional growth.

Qualifications
- You hold a degree in Accounting or a business-related course, with 6+ years of relevant accounting experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- You have experience managing service operations, client deliverables, staff performance, and appraisals, with strong fluency in English and an additional foreign language.
- You possess strong knowledge of IndAS, IFRS, and various GAAPs (US, UK, Lux) and have extensive experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and working paper files.
- You demonstrate solid technical capability in Private Equity and Private Debt fund accounting, including operational fund accounting experience and working knowledge of Investran and Paxus.
- You are proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, IF functions) and Microsoft Office applications, with effective written and advanced verbal communication skill
Desired
- Completed Certified Public Accountant/ACCA qualification.
- Experience working in Financial Services or Shared Services office environment.
- Experience working in a multinational office environment.
- Open to travel and other secondment opportunities abroad if required.
- University Degree in Accountancy and other accounting-related courses.
