Job Description
We’re looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Private Wealth team in our Jersey office at Gaspé House. In this role, you will manage a diverse and complex client portfolio while supporting the Manager in driving operational excellence, fostering a strong client service culture, and developing junior team members. What You’ll Do -
- Lead client portfolio delivery by managing complex client structures, supporting fee reviews, ensuring strong client service, and contributing to commercial targets such as revenue, WIP, debtor days, and cash collection.
- Support and deputise for the Manager in driving team performance, overseeing the Client Administration Team, contributing to business development, and supporting smooth onboarding of new business.
- Develop people and culture by mentoring junior staff, holding development conversations, fostering a strong client‑service mentality, and supporting recruitment efforts.
- Strengthen governance and risk management by embedding risk frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, monitoring processes, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to enhance client retention, identify cross‑selling opportunities, drive operational excellence, and contribute to wider Group initiatives.

Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as ICSA or STEP Diploma, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience and strong knowledge of trust, company administration, fiduciary duties, and applicable laws across relevant jurisdictions.
- Strong technical capability including the ability to interpret trust and company legal documents, good numeracy and analytical skills, and a solid understanding of taxation impacts on structures.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, strong IT proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and contribute effectively to team workflow.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate, motivate others, support colleagues through change, and demonstrate resilience and integrity.
- Commitment to continuous self‑development, high self-awareness, and adherence to best‑practice standards, risk awareness, equality, and diversity in all aspects of work.
