Job Description
A review-focused position responsible for validating fund accounting deliverables and ensuring quality standards. While initially supporting preparation activities as needed, the role primarily performs detailed reviews of financial statements and supports complex accounting processes while serving as a technical resource for preparers. The position focuses on quality assurance, review oversight, and maintaining accounting standards across deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate financial statements, NAV calculations, capital calls, distribution workings, and fund books and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Apply accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements to all fund accounting activities, documenting exceptions and preparing comprehensive error reports with recommendations
- Provide technical guidance to preparers on complex transactions and operational matters, supporting analysis and resolution of accounting issues
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, review operational procedures, and develop best practices documentation to enhance team efficiency
- Support Account Managers in coordinating with cluster partners and clients, managing workload allocation, tracking progress through timesheets, and participating in required training programmes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or ACCA Level 3 (ongoing) or ACA qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in fund accounting
- Strong proficiency in accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements, with expertise in validating capital calls, distributions, and fund books and records
- Demonstrated ability to review and analyse complex financial statements, transactions, and operational procedures with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with authentic, bold, and collaborative behaviours aligned with our Group Values
