As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Ivanti, your collaboration within a scrum team drives innovative solutions to complex challenges, balancing quality with cost and execution speed. Your immediate focus on our IT Service Management product—including its C# codebase, SQL Server backend, API integrations, and JS framework frontend—will ensure resilient and scalable software deployment. Whether supporting on-premises Windows services or containerization on Kubernetes (AKS), your impact will empower organizations to deliver reliable and modern IT services, accelerating business agility in an evolving digital landscape.
What you’ll do:
- Manage versioning, dependencies, and tracking throughout software build and deployment processes to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Build robust deployment pipelines and tooling that automate testing, security compliance, and certification for a variety of environments including Test, Staging, and Production.
- Design monitoring dashboards and workflow integrations that provide real-time insight into builds and deployments, supporting continuous improvement and operational transparency.
- Partner with product development teams to align automation efforts with their Definition of Done, helping them meet project requirements and delivery standards.
- Lead technical discussions and code reviews, fostering a collaborative environment where the team continually enhances skills and elevates development practices.
- Collaborate with peers to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, improving efficiency and achieving best-in-class standards across projects.
- Advise on industry best practices and Ivanti guidelines, ensuring consistent and standardized pipeline implementation throughout the organization.
What you will bring:
- Fundamental understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD workflows and DORA metrics.
- Proficient in code authoring and version control, with a focus on writing reusable, maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience with CI servers and runners; familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) Pipelines and a strong interest in adopting GitHub Actions.
- Practical experience working with containers and, ideally, orchestration using Kubernetes (AKS).
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) expertise, particularly with Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Exposure to modern software development life cycles (SDLC) managed through project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively communicate across different groups.
