Our platform turns messy data chaos into governed, automated pipelines that power analytics and AI and now we need a Sales Engineer who can bring that story to life for customers.
This isn’t traditional pre-sales. Think technologist, storyteller, and builder. You’ll architect solutions that turn data problems into automation wins, prove value through live demos and POCs, and help customers imagine what’s possible when data actually flows.
About the Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving revenue by partnering with Account Executives to engage with prospective customers. You will lead technical discovery, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and guide prospects through proof-of-concept (POC) engagements to ensure a seamless and successful technical validation process.
Your expertise in data workflows, APIs, and SaaS architectures will help customers understand how Keboola can solve their most pressing data challenges. Additionally, you will act as a thought leader within the Sales Engineering team, sharing insights, best practices, and innovations to elevate team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations that align with client needs and use cases.
- Support Account Executives (AEs) during discovery and technical validation phases to ensure prospects meet success criteria.
- Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of POCs, ensuring alignment with client objectives, clear milestones, and a successful handoff to post-sales teams.
- Develop data-driven workflows and API integrations within Keboola’s platform to showcase its capabilities.
- Act as a domain expert within the Sales Engineering team, supporting AEs in complex discussions and sharing best practices.
- Contribute thought leadership content to promote Keboola’s platform within the data community.
What We Look For
- Strong experience in Sales Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or similar technical role within a SaaS or data-driven environment (ideally 5+ years experience). Note: We find that professionals with data analyst backgrounds often excel in this role given their strong analytical foundations and customer-facing experience.
- Expertise in ETL workflow design, data tools, and analytics to solve complex problems.
- Ability to translate customer challenges into actionable solutions using Keboola.
- Effective communicator who can engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation.
- Experience with financial analysis is a plus.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- SaaS & Data Expertise: Understanding of SaaS architecture, data workflows, and ETL processes.
- Problem-Solving & Solution Design: Hands-on experience with data tools, analytics, and technical demonstrations.
- Customer-Focused Approach: Ability to design tailored solutions for diverse industries (e.g., hospitality, e-commerce, finance).
- Data Acumen: Strong foundation in data modeling, SQL, and working knowledge of Python.
- Documentation & Reporting: Proficiency in documenting technical workflows and best practices.
