We are currently recruiting for an Accountant on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract for our Clonee site.
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of the Monthly Accounts for our Clonee site and and Weekly Management Accounts. This is a great opportunity for someone coming from a food manufacturing or FMCG background or also equally suited to someone from practice who has extensive experience with agri/farming clients.
\*\* This role is eligible for hybrid working (2 days at home, 3 days in the office), after the initial induction and training period. **
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare Monthly Reporting Pack with detailed P&L statements and Balance Sheets for senior management.
- Conduct Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Maintain External Beef Purchase Orders in ERP (D365) for accurate procurement tracking.
- Perform weekly Stock Reconciliations to verify inventory accuracy.
- Analyze and report weekly Site Stock Gains/Losses to support stock management decisions.
- Support various Site Finance functions and ensure compliance with controls.
- Assist in Budget process preparation, consolidation, and review for effective financial planning.
- Participate in Meat Division Projects, providing financial input for successful outcomes.
KPI’s
Prepare timely Weekly Reconciliations with detailed analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy.
Complete Monthly Accounts on schedule, complying with accounting standards and coordinating with departments for necessary data.
Regularly reconcile General Ledger, verify transaction integrity, investigate anomalies, and maintain accurate entries.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant
Previous experience working either in a similar food manufacturing or FMCG business or from a practice background with experience of agri/farming clients would be highly desirable
Working knowledge of monthly reconciliations
Strong technical ability with financial analysis and reporting skills
Competent in the use of MS Excel
Experience of MS Dynamics 365 would be an advantage
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
Ability to work to tight deadlines
