Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to work in our fast-paced Accounting Department in our Rochester, NY office.

Duties:

Accounts Payable:

  • Maintaining and reconciling company credit cards.
  • Maintaining and reconciling employee expense reports.

Payroll:

  • Review, approve, and process weekly timesheets in compliance with payroll deadlines.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist in the accounts receivable/collections processes.

Billing:

  • Issuing monthly billing for Project Managers.
  • Collaborating with project staff and the accounting team to create and send out project invoicing.
  • Provide financial guidance by generating reports and analyzing data.
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance filings based on client and project specifications.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

• Three or more years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing practices is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required. The selected candidate must be able to manage their own workload to efficiently complete their tasks by assigned deadlines.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization.

• Training for the Accounting Associate position will require in-person attendance but once completed a hybrid schedule can be established.

Salary Range: $22 - $27/hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
