Role and Responsibilities
The HR Business Analyst plays a critical role in the Firm’s HR Modernization and Workday Transformation Program by serving as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams. This role is responsible for understanding current-state HR processes, identifying inefficiencies and risks, and translating business needs into structured, actionable requirements that support scalable and compliant HR operations.
The Business Analyst partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and global stakeholders to ensure that HR solutions align with firm governance standards, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements. This role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complexity across multiple HR domains and regions.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across HR domains including Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, and HR Data Management.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process mapping to identify optimization opportunities and control enhancements.
- Perform fit-gap analysis against Workday functionality and document configuration and integration requirements.
- Support data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure data integrity during transformation.
- Partner with Technology teams to clarify requirements and support design and configuration decisions.
- Coordinate and support testing activities including SIT and UAT, ensuring traceability to requirements.
- Produce audit-ready documentation including BRDs, process maps, configuration specifications, and testing artifacts.

Required qualifications
- Experience supporting Workday or enterprise HRIS implementations.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- High-quality documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of HR controls, compliance, and governance expectations.
- Comfort working in global, matrixed, and regulated environments.
