JOB DESCRIPTION: Levio is currently seeking a Python Developer to contribute to a large‑scale project based in Montreal in a hybrid work model.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop and optimize Backend services in Python, primarily to automate and modernize financial forecasting processes ;
- Contribute to the evolution of distributed architectures and data pipelines using DataIQ, Databricks and Snowflake ;
- Participate in the automation of monthly and weekly processing using Python and SQL, which will represent the majority of the work ;
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth integration of solutions ;
- Analyze technical requirements, propose robust solutions and take part in architectural decisions ;
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of code, processes and tools (automated tests, CI/CD, monitoring) ;
- Ensure the performance, reliability and security of applications in a highly regulated and multi‑team environment ;
- Interact with existing systems such as Teradata and various legacy platforms, while directing deliverables toward Snowflake.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field ;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development within complex environments ;
- Experience in the banking sector or within large financial institutions (required) ;
- Strong knowledge of data technologies: SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Proficiency with Linux environments and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, containerization) ;
- Familiarity with DataIQ, Databricks and Snowflake ;
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
