Who You Are
You’re a Senior Mobile Developer with strong experience building mobile consumer experiences in production. You thrive in ambiguous problem spaces, operate with a high degree of autonomy, and enjoy owning features end to end.
You’re comfortable collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Analytics, shipping polished, customer-facing experiences, and making pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and scalability. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build mobile-first consumer experiences and supporting APIs that power growth, personalization, and experimentation across the mobile app.
- Own well-scoped features end to end, from technical design and implementation through testing, launch, and iteration in production.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and Analytics to translate growth strategy into intuitive, high-impact mobile experiences.
- Contribute to architectural decisions that ensure scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems supporting mobile surfaces.
- Write clear technical documentation and design proposals to support effective asynchronous collaboration.
- Uphold high engineering standards around performance, security, observability, testing, and reliability, especially for customer-facing mobile features.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping mobile consumer experiences in production environments (or equivalent depth).
- Proficiency in iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and/or React Native, with experience maintaining production mobile applications.
- Exposure to cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS) and how mobile features are built, deployed, and operated at scale.
- Proven ability to independently deliver complex, user-facing features with a high bar for polish, performance, and reliability.
- Solid understanding of how mobile clients integrate with backend services, including APIs, data modeling, error handling, and service reliability.
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design to translate strategy into high-quality mobile features.
- Experience owning end-to-end features spanning mobile clients and supporting backend services.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Python, Kotlin, or similar, in support of mobile experiences.
- Comfortable working in a remote, async-first, cross-functional environment, and able to ramp quickly in an existing mobile codebase.
- Ability to move fast, make pragmatic technical decisions, and deliver meaningful impact within a short-term engagement.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
