In anticipation of a potential award focused on strengthening rural health systems through digital health strategies, MCD Global Health is soliciting applications from individuals who are interested and available for employment in early 2026. MCD offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits program, and a remote-first work environment. While the majority of these positions and work activities will be Maine-based, remote candidates will be considered in some instances. Relocation expenses to Maine will not be covered.
Core competencies sought for these positions include logistics and procurement, monitoring and evaluation, training and education development and implementation specific to digital health, rural health and health systems strengthening, workforce development and quality improvement. All positions are contingent on confirmation of funding.
Salary offers may be higher or lower than the anticipated range listed due to various factors including the successful candidates’ qualifications and geography within or outside of Maine.
Requirements
Associate Manager – Digital Health Specialist (2 Positions)
Grade Level: 5
Anticipated Salary: $80,000
Reporting Relationship: Digital Health Program Manager
Location: Maine (candidates must be based in Maine or willing to relocate)
We’re looking for experienced Digital Health Specialists to support the planning, implementation, and scaling of telehealth and virtual care initiatives across healthcare and public health settings. If you’ve worked hands-on with digital health tools and love making complex systems work in practice, this role is for you.
Core functions of the Digital Health Specialist role will include:
Support the design and rollout of telehealth and digital health programs
Translate strategy into workflows, tools, and operational plans
Collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, vendors, and community partners
Navigate policy, reimbursement, and sustainability considerations
Track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and share lessons learned
Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in digital health, healthcare operations, or health tech implementation, hands-on experience with telehealth, virtual care, or digital engagement tools, strong understanding of clinical workflows and care delivery systems, comfort working across policy, operations, and technology, and passion for improving access, quality, and equity—especially in rural or mixed urban–rural settings.
