About Evidence Action
We were founded in 2012 and work in international trade and development. Our work focuses on public health, water and sanitation, social entrepreneurship, innovation, and cost-effective, evidence-based policy.
We use research to scale low-cost health interventions for pregnant people, infants, children, and adolescents. Our programs have reached over 515 million people by matching proven interventions with local implementation models.
For example, our Syphilis-Free Start Team oversees maternal health programs in Liberia, Zambia, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire. Our AI for Good initiative develops and implements AI-powered programs in low- and middle-income countries, adapting AI research into solutions governments can use.
Mission & Values
We focus on key questions: How can we maximize our health impact with available resources? How do we measure strategy effectiveness? And how do we ensure our programs last?
We consistently follow data to ensure every dollar creates value and every person experiences impact. We are committed to expanding access, improving cost-effectiveness, and using evidence to inform all our decisions.
Team & Culture
Our team consists of 500-1000 individuals. Our teams are driven by our mission and work together to achieve results.
We work in an environment where we often navigate complex, unclear situations. Our focus is on creating evidence-based, scalable interventions and partnering with governments to get solutions adopted widely.
Many of our roles are remote within the United States, but they require significant travel to the countries where we operate.
Benefits & Perks
We offer a comprehensive benefits package:
- Comprehensive health care, including international coverage
- HSA/FSA options, life insurance, and disability coverage
- Retirement plans with a matching component
- Generous and flexible leave options
