Job Title: Institutional Compliance Onboarding Analyst
Location: Remote (Must be based in EST timezone) | New York Hybrid Strongly Preferred Compensation: Competitive Salary + Equity + Benefits
The Opportunity
They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Institutional Compliance Onboarding Analyst to support the daily execution of their customer due diligence (CDD) and onboarding workflows. As the gateway to their financial ecosystem, this role is essential for ensuring that all institutional participants meet rigorous AML, KYC, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses the analytical rigor required to navigate complex corporate structures within the digital asset and fintech space.
Key Responsibilities
- Due Diligence Execution: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and due diligence reviews for new institutional clients.
- Entity Screening: Perform deep-dive background screening on legal entities, Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs), and controlling parties across various global jurisdictions.
- Complex Analysis: Evaluate corporate documentation, ownership charts, proposed fund flows, and expected transactional activity to identify potential red flags.
- Reporting: Prepare clear, well-documented due diligence reports and provide formal onboarding recommendations to compliance leadership.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance automation and improve the efficiency of the onboarding tech stack.
- Risk Mitigation: Verify source of funds (SoF) and source of wealth (SoW) for high-risk institutional profiles to ensure full regulatory alignment.

Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in AML/BSA/KYC compliance, specifically focused on onboarding or customer due diligence.
Background: Prior experience working at a leading fintech or a high-growth startup is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with an ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with a proven ability to draft formal reports and interact with institutional stakeholders.
Certifications: ACAMS, CFCS, or similar professional certifications are a plus.
