We founded Moonbug Entertainment in 2018 to create and distribute children’s content. We are part of Candle Media, a media production company.

Our shows aim to be entertaining and educational, helping children learn and explore to develop life skills.

Our content portfolio includes 29 brands, such as CoComelon and Blippi. Other brands include The Melon Patch, CoComelon Lane, Coloring with Blippi & Friends, Toniebox from Cody and Friends, The Oddbods Band, and Little Angel. This content is available in 32 languages, including ASL, and is distributed across more than 150 platforms globally, such as Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and YouTube Kids.

Candle Media, our parent company, is an independent entertainment firm focused on content, community, and commerce brands and franchises. Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs are Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs, with investment capital from Blackstone’s flagship private equity business.

Our mission is to inspire children everywhere to laugh, learn, and grow. We believe every child should have access to entertaining and educational content.

We focus on providing enriching experiences that support children’s development of life skills. We work with experts in education and research to ensure our content is age-appropriate and educational. We aim for learning through play, blending fun and education in episodes to help children discover new skills. Additionally, we emphasize family-centered values in our shows, reinforcing empathy, confidence, and connection through everyday family moments, and encourage playful creativity through music and movement.

Our global team has between 501 and 1000 employees. We have creative hubs in London, Los Angeles, New York, and Singapore. Our team shares a mission to improve children’s lives through storytelling.
