Nitrogen is a technology company founded in 2011, focusing on fintech, advisor solutions, software, and SaaS for the wealth management industry. We offer an all-in-one client engagement software platform for financial advisors and wealth management firms. The core product, Riskalyze, launched in 2011. We invented the Risk Number®, which uses a Nobel Prize-winning academic framework.

Our platform includes Riskalyze (for risk tolerance), AI Risk Center, AI Research Center, AI Planning Center, AI Tax Center, and Firm Controls. These tools help advisors generate proposals, research investments, plan finances, and get tax insights. They also help manage client expectations, analyze portfolios, and model risk capacity. Our software integrates with other wealth technology solutions.

We help firms acquire clients by using the Risk Number® and increase client engagement with a standardized proposal process. The platform also helps prove fiduciary compliance by aligning investment recommendations with a client’s Risk Number® and documenting suitability, meeting DOL, FINRA, and SEC regulations.

Over 30,000 financial advisors use our platform. We report that 75% of advisors grew their book of business by over $1M within 90 days of use, and 85% of firms with a dedicated client engagement platform choose us. One advisory firm increased its prospect close rate by 94% after using our product.

Team-building and communication are supported through company all-hands meetings held every 6 weeks. These include in-person gatherings in designated Talent Hubs. Additionally, an annual event brings all Nitros together in one location for team building, organizational planning, and employee recognition. Nitrogen offers flexible work arrangements. Employees can choose to work in person full-time or part-time, or fully remotely if they are near one of the company’s offices or Talent Hub locations. The company’s headquarters is in Auburn, CA, and it has another office in Wroclaw, Poland. Talent Hubs are located in Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, Philadelphia, PA, Milwaukee, WI, Portland, OR, Boston, MA, and Boise, ID.

We offer a range of benefits to our employees. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance, with company contributions to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Savings Accounts (FSAs) depending on the chosen medical plan. We provide a 401(k) retirement savings program with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4% of salary and bonus, limited by the legal maximum contribution. Employees also get free financial advisory services.

Time off includes 15 vacation days, 5 sick days, and 11 paid holidays annually. We add 5 days of vacation per year after three years of employment. We provide generous parental leave: up to 4 weeks after the first year, plus an additional 8 weeks for recovery from childbirth.
