About the Role
As a Communications & Events Intern, you will support how our brand shows up across live experiences, internal communications, and external PR and media. You’ll work across multiple communications functions, helping teams execute their projects while understanding how each effort contributes to a cohesive brand story. This hands-on role offers behind-the-scenes exposure to how events and communications programs are planned, produced, and brought to life.
Event Planning & Coordination: Assist with event logistics including venue research, vendor coordination, timelines, and on-site setup to help ensure smooth execution of both large-scale and intimate experiences.
Creative & Experiential Support: Partner with event and creative teams to support environment design and experience details that bring our brand to life in physical spaces while creating moments designed to spark earned media and storytelling.
PR & Media Support: Support PR and media outreach efforts through creator and media list research, press material drafting, coverage tracking, and coordination that helps extend the reach of our communications efforts.
Internal Communications Support: Assist in developing and distributing internal messaging, helping craft updates, recaps, and storytelling that keep teams informed, aligned, and connected to our work.
Editorial & Brand Storytelling Support: Contribute to the development of Patreon’s on-platform editorial voice by helping pitch, manage, and create content that spotlights our distinct point of view, employer brand, and the creators and culture that define the Patreon ecosystem.
Project Coordination & Documentation: Help track timelines, maintain shared documents, and support asset organization across events and communications projects.
About You
Academic Background: You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Management, Media Studies, or a related field.
Organizational Skills: You are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Interest in Events, Media & Storytelling: You have some experience or coursework related to events, communications, media, marketing, or brand and are excited to explore how these areas work together.
Passion for Creators & the Creator Economy: You are enthusiastic about creators and their communities, and curious about how brand storytelling supports deeper audience connections.
Learning and Adaptability: You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and energized by fast-paced, collaborative environments where no two days look the same.
