Job Description
Location: In Office (Munich). This role requires in-office work 2-3 days/week.
The Role The Communications Intern will work with the GoPro EMEA marketing team in Munich and focus on social media, brand ambassadors and public relations. The internship will grant you a thorough insight into how marketing communications works at a company like GoPro and you’ll be able to hone your skills in a variety of fields.
What You Will Do
Social media:
- Monitor and help manage GoPro’s regional accounts;
- Work with local community teams to curate, select, and edit short social media video edits in accordance with GoPro content guidelines;
Brand ambassadors:
- Assist managing influencer cooperations from initial outreach to KPI tracking and analysis;
- Help shape creative + innovative ideas for working with new and existing ambassadors in our network;
- Support the research and analysis of competitor brands and influencer trends;
Public relations:
- Help brief, educate, and assist international journalists;
- Monitor, coordinate and initiate press coverage;
- Create and communicate stories around GoPro initiatives across Europe;
General:
- Deal with inbound requests, shipping product, loan pool management, reporting processes;
- Gain a thorough understanding of GoPro products, markets and media landscapes;
- Coordinate product pool of the EMEA Communications team: product forecasting, order processing, product seeding and shipments as well as inventory management;
Skills We’re Stoked About
- Self-motivated, willing to work hard, eager to learn, hands on, collaborative;
- Fascinated with social media as well as traditional and new media outlets, interested in emerging trends;
- Some experience in editing and publishing content for social media;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Highly motivated and capable of working in the details while ensuring the overall is on strategy;
- Capable of managing/supporting multiple projects and priorities at the same time within a rapidly changing environment;
- Fluent in English and German,
