Patreon is a media and community platform where over 300,000 creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. We offer creators a variety of ways to engage with their fans and build a lasting business including: paid memberships, free memberships, community chats, live video, and selling to fans directly with one-time purchases.
Ultimately our goal is simple: fund the creative class. And we’re leaders in that space, with:
$10 billion+ in revenue generated since Patreon’s inception
100 million+ free memberships for fans who may not be ready to pay just yet, and
25 million+ paid memberships on Patreon today.
We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Social Media Intern to support our mission.
This internship is designed for those graduating between December 2026 through August 2027. Please only apply to one role that best fits your experience and interests. Multiple applications may result in a delayed application review.
Our summer internship is a 12-week long program ( May - August 2026 or June - September 2026) hosted in our New York City office and is open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Team
The Social Team at Patreon champions and celebrates the powerful connection between creators and their fans. We show up for creators and offer a better place on the internet for them and their community, by sharing:
Inspirational, relatable stories about the creator <> fan experience
Human-first narratives that ground the impact of Patreon features and offerings
Our fearless advocacy for creators, by weighing in on topics impacting the wider creator economy
Practical advice and utility that helps creators grow their businesses
About the Role
Creative Impact: You will produce impactful social content, including creative graphics, short-form video, caption copy, and more for Patreon, directly influencing the creator economy and assisting in transforming creators’ passions into sustainable careers.
Collaborative Excellence: Join a world-class creative team, collaborating with product and comms specialists, producers, designers, and experts in the creator economy to ensure the success of your projects.
Mentorship and Growth: Embrace our “Win Together” philosophy as you are paired with an experienced creative mentor, who will provide guidance and support through the challenges and milestones of your internship project.
Engaging and Fun Environment: Engage in exciting creative projects, participate in Patreon’s Intern Summit, and enjoy the vibrant culture of New York City alongside your fellow interns throughout the summer.
About You
Academic Background: You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: You possess a solid understanding of all major social media platforms, and the creative tools and software to ideate, organize, and produce social content, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace.
Creative Experience: You have prior experience in a creative role, either as an independent creator or as a member of a creative team.
Learning and Adaptability: You demonstrate a keen willingness to learn, accept feedback, iterate, and adapt to new challenges.
Passion for Patreon: You have a genuine enthusiasm for Patreon’s mission and are excited about collaborating with creators.

Patreon operates under a hybrid work model, where employees based in office locations are expected to come into the office two days per week. The goal of this policy is to be intentional about the in-person time we spend together to strengthen the feeling of community at Patreon.
At Patreon, we believe in fair and transparent pay. In compliance with New York pay transparency laws, we are sharing the expected salary range for this role.
The posted salary range is dependent on the location and the level. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role’s job family. The final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon’s leveling framework.
