Founded in 2006, we are also known as Progressive Biomanufacturing Systems. We specialize in single-use bioreactor systems and process development services for the cell therapy industry, operating primarily in biotechnology research.

We offer single-use bioreactor systems, including PBS-Vertical-Wheel Bioreactors, and accessories for growing shear-sensitive cell types. Our systems scale from 0.1L to 80L, supporting everything from small-scale testing and optimization to clinical and commercial manufacturing. These are used in cell-based therapies, such as those derived from iPSCs, MSCs, CAR-T, and NK cells, for treating conditions like cancer, diabetes, and heart failure. Our bioreactors are made with USP Class VI plastics.

We also provide process development services to help overcome cell culture challenges and speed up the journey to commercialization. Our Bioprocess Research & Development team offers contract services from our onsite laboratory.

Our 63,800 sq. ft. facility in Camarillo, California, features a cleanroom and manufacturing areas where we assemble single-use vessels and electro-mechanical bioreactors. All our products are assembled and inspected in-house. Our Quality Management System is ISO 9001:2015 certified for the design, manufacture, distribution, and service of single-use bioprocessing equipment. In early 2023, we secured funding led by Avego Management, LLC and BroadOak Capital Partners.
