Job Description
Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, we’re changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike—with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’.
The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years.
Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.
About the role
We are looking for a best in class Programme Manager to join our GTM Strategy & Programs team. This is a multi-functional team focussed on 10x initiatives that combines strategy, data, operations and cutting-edge technology, in order to build efficiencies in Pleo’s GTM via Sales, CS, Product and Comms. You must have a proven track record as a Programme Manager with experience managing end-to-end execution of a project and a team to support successful delivery. You will be supporting and delivering major business growth by building robust and smart processes as well as problem solving for new and innovative solutions that will 10x Pleo’s growth.
Who you’ll be working with and reporting to
You’ll report to the Director of GTM Strategy & Programs, and the role sits within the Revenue Operations function at Pleo. You’ll work closely with Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Sales and Growth, Product and Data teams and Commercial IT.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will lead various commercial programmes covering the revenue efficiency of the entire customer lifecycle from a strategic and operational nature. Some examples are:
- Lead and New Business revenue acquisition
- Growth revenue pipeline
- Churn prevention
- Product adoption
- AI-assisted GTM delivery
- Customer profile scoring and segmentation
We are involved where the business needs new innovative ideas related to revenue efficiency and effectiveness to be ideated, designed, built, launched and measured.
You’ll be keeping yourself busy…
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects for implementation of new, high-impact commercial processes (including the latest AI workflows) including successful adoption and change management.
- Defining new strategic initiatives, building structured business cases for solutions that materially improve revenue efficiency, velocity, and predictability
- Communicating recommendations and new process enablement to senior management and function teams in a clear, concise and impactful way
- Leading stakeholder engagement, facilitating and collaborating in project team meetings and acting as the key orchestrator of process and delivery
- Managing deadlines, prioritising workloads, bringing high velocity, and maintaining strong attention to detail to meet organisational objectives and quality measures
What you bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Programme Manager or Strategy & Operations role
- Background in consulting, startup or industry-related experience managing teams of cross-discipline resources with complex, multi-location programs is a plus
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects / stakeholders concurrently, and ensure timely delivery
- Ability to think outside-the-box and problem solve for some of the hardest growth problems at Pleo. This is supported by strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Experience handling high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
- AI-first mindset with experience with AI tools and integrations (eg. GPT models, n8n, Clay etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel or Gsheet, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation techniques.
- Nice-to-have: Strong personal interest, understanding and experience in utilising AI workflow tooling (n8n, Clay etc.)
Why is this role a good fit for you
This role is a good fit for you if:
- You don’t just want to suggest strategies from a slide deck; you want to get into the weeds of n8n, Clay, and GPT models to actually build the workflows that drive revenue.
- You prefer exponential growth over incremental gains. You are comfortable with the high-pressure, high-velocity nature of a startup and enjoy solving hard problems that don’t have a pre-existing playbook.
- You can analyse complex customer segmentation data in a spreadsheet and then pivot to a meeting where you convince a Sales or CS leader to adopt a brand-new, AI-assisted process.
This role is not a good fit for you if:
- You are looking for a role where you manage established, stable processes and perform routine status updates, the “10x” and “innovative ideation” requirements of this role will feel overwhelming.
- Your project management style relies solely on traditional waterfall methods and you aren’t interested in experimenting with LLMs or automation tooling, you will likely struggle with Pleo’s “AI-first” mandate.
- You prefer to work in a bubble without constant stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, the “orchestrator” aspect of this job won’t suit you.
Show me the benefits!

We want to ensure you are set-up for success and understand what will be expected of you. If your application is successful, our interview process is as follows:

- Hiring Manager Interview: A 30-minute chat to go deeper on your experience and what you can bring to the team
- Challenge & Team Interview: We will send you a take home test and invite you to present it during a 60 minute team interview. This is an opportunity to show us how you would handle the day to day of the role
- Bar Raiser: A final interview with a Senior Leader
Transparency is important to us so we also wanted to share some insights about what we’re looking for in applications to ensure you can set yourself up for success!
Last time we hired for a similar role, we received a vast number of applications but only XX were selected for an intro call. Some of the key reasons why previous candidates didn’t make it past the application screening stage include:
- CV writing and content: we receive a lot of CVs, and many of them are AI-generated. We love seeing people leverage AI—it’s a big focus for us internally too—but without human intervention, these CVs can sometimes become generic and fail to show a candidate in the best light. What we’re really looking for is the specific details of real impact that only you know from your previous experience. A top tip from us is to use the “Achieved X, as measured by Y, by doing Z” formula (credit: Laszlo Bock, ~2014) to give a really clear picture of what you’ve worked on. A final note: including links to your previous companies’ websites is a huge help and allows us to truly understand your background!
- Application care: every single application we receive is reviewed by a human (yes, hundreds of them) because we believe that candidates’ efforts should be matched by an equal level of human care. This means that we expect a similar level of attention put into your application. Read and answer the application questions carefully, they make a huge difference in our decision-making process.
- Profile to role fit: highlight most important aspects of the role, points that might get misunderstood, any specific industry requirements etc.
About your application
- Please submit your application in English; it’s our company language so you’ll be speaking lots of it if you join 💕
- We treat all candidates equally: If you are interested please apply through our application system - any correspondence should come from there! Our lovely support team isn’t able to pass on any calls/ emails our way - and this makes sure that the candidate experience is smooth and fair to everyone 😊
- We can only achieve our goals if our team reflects the diversity of the world around us - and that starts with you, hitting apply, even if you are worried you might not tick all the boxes. We embrace and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply - regardless of race/ethnicity, colour, religion, nationality, gender, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, neurodiversity, socio-economic status, culture or beliefs.
- When you submit an application we process your personal data as a data processor. Find out more about how your data is used in the FAQs section at the bottom of our jobs page.
