The Environmental, Health and Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations and overseeing workplace health and safety programs. The role manages compliance for packaging & electronics recycling, and related regulatory requirements, coordinates employee Health & Safety training, and supports supplier quality administration for Stock Action Requests (SAR), Requests for Concession (RFC), and Environmental Health & Safety administrative activities
Responsibilities:
- Manage global environmental compliance programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including packaging, electronics, batteries recycling, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and coordinate implementation of new compliance requirements across the business
- Coordinate environmental reporting, registrations, declarations, and regulatory submissions with external compliance providers and regulatory agencies
- Support sustainability initiatives through waste reduction, recycling, and environmentally responsible business practices
- Maintain environmental compliance records, certifications, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate company Safety programs, including employee training, workplace inspections, and safety awareness initiatives as needed
- Conduct workplace incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions to promote a safe working environment
- Process and coordinate Quality & Environmental Health & Safety purchase orders and invoices with the Finance team
- Coordinate and track Quality Stock Action Requests (SAR) and Requests for Concession (RFC) with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
- Promote continuous improvement in environmental compliance and workplace safety while performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or related discipline
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position
- Knowledge of environmental reporting systems and regulations
- Experience coordinating Health & Safety training and workplace safety programs
- Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, consultants, and third-party compliance providers
Base Range: £ - £ + [Bonus OR Commission] Eligible
