A growing kosher technology startup is looking for a talented AI Engineer to build and improve the AI systems that power our filtering and classification technology.

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Applied AI Engineer to lead the development and advancement of the AI systems at the core of our platform.
Our products rely heavily on AI to power filtering, classification, and analysis systems. This role focuses on building, improving, and integrating AI models that drive these capabilities across our applications.
You will work closely with our frontend and backend engineering teams to deploy AI-powered features and continuously improve the intelligence and effectiveness of our systems.
This is a high-impact role, as the AI models are central to the effectiveness of our platform.
Because our mission centers around kosher technology, the ideal candidate should also be passionate about using advanced technology to improve digital filtering and strengthen kosher standards in technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve AI models used across our products
- Research and implement new AI techniques to improve filtering and classification
- Optimize model accuracy, performance, and reliability
- Integrate AI systems into backend services and applications
- Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to deploy AI-powered features
- Explore innovative applications of AI across the platform
- Help expand and strengthen our AI-driven filtering systems
Technical Requirements
Core Requirements
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience building AI / machine learning systems
- Ability to design and deploy production AI systems
Key AI Skills
Candidates should have experience with most of the following:
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs
- Prompt engineering and AI workflow design
- Embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases
- Python AI ecosystem (PyTorch, HuggingFace, NumPy, etc.)
- Building production-ready AI systems with attention to reliability, latency, and cost
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with TypeScript / Node.js
- Experience integrating AI into mobile or production applications
- Familiarity with Swift or iOS development
- Experience with AI infrastructure or retrieval systems
