Radiac Abrasives, a TYROLIT Company, manufactures conventional bonded and superabrasives. Founded in 1891, we have over 130 years of experience in the abrasives industry. Acquired by Tyrolit Abrasives in 2009, Radiac is the North American company for Tyrolit brand products.

We supply grinding and dressing tools and system solutions for industries like automotive, bearing, aviation, cutting tools, and primary metals. Our product range includes gear grinding and large diameter cut-off wheels up to 2 meters. The combined Radiac and Tyrolit product range has over 80,000 products, including PREMIUM CURVE CUT cut-off wheels for steel and stainless steel, STARTEC RC+ metal-bonded grinding tools for flute grinding, and CERABOND X cut-off wheels.

We operate four manufacturing facilities in the USA: Salem, IL; Oswego, IL; Marysville, WA; and a facility in Michigan added through the acquisition of Acme Abrasive. We use a team approach that combines sales and engineering knowledge to provide solutions for grinding needs. Our application engineers offer process knowledge and consulting services, developing and implementing custom solutions on-site at customer machines.

We are part of the global Tyrolit Group, which employs over 4,500 people worldwide. Our team at Radiac Abrasives consists of 201-500 employees.

We provide training and advanced courses in application and service technology, which can be held on-site or at training centers in Switzerland and Austria. We also hold international roadshows in the construction and trade sectors.
