This is a hybrid-based position in our Irvine or Angeles, CA office.

Your new role
As our new Lead Consultant, you will be part of our diverse, creative and collaborative California team. You will work with all levels of expertise from junior-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. You will support and lead workplace and environmental health assessments, exposure monitoring, qualitative and quantitative industrial hygiene risk assessments and control strategy development for industrial and commercial clients. This role combines fieldwork, data analysis, client engagement and technical reporting.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary Ramboll teams to ensure compliance with applicable industrial hygiene-focused standards and best practices.
- Contribute to project proposals, scopes of work, and technical bid documents.
- Mentor early career staff and participate in knowledge sharing and professional development activities.
- Conduct and direct:
- Qualitative and Quantitative Exposure Assessments
- Indoor Air Quality Assessments
- Water Intrusion and Microbial Assessments
- Industrial Hygiene Risk Mitigation and Controls Review
Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering (e.g., industrial hygiene, occupational safety) or science (e.g., chemistry, environmental science) discipline plus 5+ years of relevant industrial hygiene experience is required. A master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience will also be accepted.
- Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
- Current or interest in pursuing professional industrial hygiene certification and licenses.
- Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Candidates must be willing to perform field activities and short-term travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state.

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,437 - $113,046 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
