Objective of the Role
At ResearchGate, our digital solutions empower scientists and researchers to discover relevant services, products, and institutions, while providing companies and institutions the opportunity to connect their content with engaged, targeted audiences.
As an Account Manager in our Marketing Solutions team, you will serve as the single point of contact for clients. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding service for existing accounts, managing campaign-related client communications, building trust with clients, and expanding relationships. You will play a pivotal role in facilitating successful campaigns and ensuring client satisfaction.
In this role, you will proactively manage campaigns and client relationships, ensuring all deliverables align with proposed timelines. You will also analyze performance data, present actionable insights, and act as the key interface between internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build trust with clients, understand their objectives and challenges, and expand relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Campaign Management: Proactively manage campaigns to exceed client expectations, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and aligned with agreed goals.
- Collaboration: Work across teams to achieve optimal campaign outcomes and address all client needs.
- Performance Analysis: Create and analyze account performance reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to maximize client budgets and promote broader feature and product adoption.
- Retention & Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, manage campaign-related updates, and drive customer retention through exceptional service.
- Goal Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed KPIs and revenue goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 5 years of sales and/or account management experience with a proven track record of achieving positive business outcomes for clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Ad Operations, Google Ad Manager, and Google Analytics, with experience in CRM software (particularly Salesforce).
- Skills: Strong client orientation, innovative problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work effectively within tight timelines.
- Personal Attributes: Goal-oriented, organized, proactive team player who is self-motivated and self-directed.
- Communication: Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with fluent and idiomatic English.

We work in a hybrid setup. Berlin-based employees spend three days a week in our Berlin office, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. You can also work from abroad for up to 120 days per year.
