Our industry-leading platform ensures continuous quality across the SDLC, using AI-powered analytics to identify key quality signals from development through production. With our unified solution, teams can release and innovate with confidence, knowing their apps will always look, function, and perform exactly as they should. Backed by TPG and Riverwood Capital, we are shaping the future of digital confidence - join us!

The Role:

Sauce Labs is looking for technical leadership in a strategic component connecting customer applications to our Error Reporting service. This could be you, specifically, if you have a breadth of experience in mobile - especially Android - and gaming platforms and you’re comfortable in the native layers below the application. This is a challenge beyond just writing another app and focusing on UX. You will lean into the biggest technical challenges mobile and gaming platforms have to offer and gain a career-bumping breadth of experience across gaming, web and native platforms. And as a technical leader you will work directly with business and engineering leadership across Sauce Labs and with engineers from other leading tech companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with product and engineering leadership to design and develop elegant solutions for application observability.
  • Solve leading-edge problems bridging the layers of an application, from managed to native to OS, in multiple platforms - mobile, gaming, managed languages, web and more.
  • Deliver a mix of open-source and proprietary software.
  • Advise customer-facing organizations on the mobile domain.
  • Work from the office five days a week (located in Noida/Gurugram)

Required Skills:

  • Experience:  Approximately 8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Language diversity:   Solid experience in managed and native development in mobile and gaming apps is important. Must have: Java, Kotlin and game development experience. Swift/Objective-c, web and React Native is a big plus.
  • Crash Reporting:  A solid understanding of the crash reporting toolchain, and experience with native crash reporting tools like Crashpad and PLCrashReporter. Being comfortable with analyzing a minidump.
  • SDK Development:  Experience designing SDKs and tools that are intuitive for external developers to integrate, with clear APIs and documentation.
  • Performance & footprint awareness:  Ability to design SDKs that are lightweight, efficient, and minimally intrusive to customer applications.
  • Threading and concurrency:  Experience addressing race conditions, deadlocks, and performance bottlenecks in mobile and gaming SDKs.
  • Cross-language integration:  Experience with JNI/NDK (Java - C/C++) and bridging layers (Unity/Unreal - native)
  • Security best practices:  Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and strategies for securely handling crash and error data.
  • Build Systems:  Strong knowledge of cross-platform build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and package distribution (e.g., Gradle, CocoaPods, npm, Unity Package Manager).

We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
